Key Features
Comparing optical performance: telecentric vs. bi-telecentric
Telecentric lenses use telecentric optics on one side – either the object side or the image side. They ensure the object (or image) size remains constant even when the working distance changes, eliminating the magnification variations that can occur with conventional lenses. Telecentric lenses are well-suited for general precision manufacturing and quality control.
Bi-telecentric lenses use telecentric optics on both the object and the image side. They provide the highest level of accuracy and consistency in imaging, as both the object and the image remain unaffected by distance or alignment changes. Bi-telecentric lenses are designed for high-precision applications that require absolute accuracy.
Telecentric lenses view objects differently
Zero perspective error
Object size remains constant regardless of position within the field of view
Low-distortion performance
Provides true-to-scale imaging across the field of view, reducing measurement errors in critical applications
Exceptional depth of field
Maintains sharp focus on objects with varying heights, enhancing accuracy and reliability in inspections
Easy integration with machine vision systems
Compatible with various sensor formats, enabling flexible deployment across different imaging platforms
Durable design
Engineered for demanding environments, ensuring reliable performance and extended product lifespan
