Our ISMS and all systems involved in product development and customer data handling are certified to meet the requirements of ISO/IEC 27001:2022.
  • Our software development life cycle policies and processes ensure that our products are free of vulnerabilities, kept up to date against new security vulnerabilities, and protected against manipulation.
  • We manage our cybersecurity roadmap and investments using the CMMI Institute's Common Maturity Model Integration framework to improve our cybersecurity program.
  • We’re committed to securing TISAX security labels for our products used in auto manufacturing.
  • Cognex follows the IEC 62443 standard focused on cybersecurity for Industrial Automation and Control Systems (IACS), including the frameworks for risk assessment, security policies, network security, access control, and incident management. This ensures our products meet important cybersecurity standards for industrial control systems throughout their lifecycle, from design to operation.

Assessments and Questionnaires

To help you assess how Cognex measures up to essential security practices, we offer several questionnaires that answer common security questions. If you need additional information for your assessment or have questions, reach out to our Customer Success Team by opening a case here.

  • The Product Security Questionnaire uses the Capability Model Maturity Integration (CMMI) assessment model to describe the secure software development life cycle (Secure SDLC).
  • The SIG Lite 2024 Questionnaire standardizes how organizations perform third-party risk assessments in several areas, including questions related to information security controls.
  • The ISO 27001 OPTIV Questionnaire covers information security controls, providing a broad, high-level overview of our company-wide information security controls.
  • The CIS Security Controls Questionnaire includes questions related to critical information security controls, including mitigation of the most prevalent cyberattacks.

TISAX Assessments

The Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX) is an information security assessment and exchange mechanism between automobile manufacturers and their suppliers.

To best serve our customers in the automotive sector, Cognex has received TISAX labels for these divisions and sites that support our European market:

For the assessment results, visit the ENX portal and register for access.

Cognex expects to secure additional TISAX assessments that support our Americas and Asia Pacific markets in 2026.
