The VisionPro Advanced class will enable you to build your own interface and integrate VisionPro with other systems using scripting and programming in Visual Studio.

Objectives

This class will enable you to build your own interface and integrate VisionPro with other systems using scripting and programming in Visual Studio.

Syllabus

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Create a VisualStudio solution
  2. Open a VisionPro QuickBuild application into VisualStudio
  3. Recreate the Run Button from QuickBuild
  4. Recreate the Run Continuously button from QuickBuild
  5. Visualize Images in VisualStudio by accessing the LastRun Record
  6. Recreate the Grab Train Image from the PatMaxRedLineTool in QuickBuild
  7. Recreate the Train Pattern from the PatMaxRedLineTool in QuickBuild
  8. Recreate the Modify Image Mask from the PatMaxRedLineTool in QuickBuild
  9. Modify the Accept Threshold from the PatMaxRedLineTool in QuickBuild from VisualStudio
  10. Open the QuickBuild Editor from VisualStudio
  11. Modify the Caliper Region of interest from VisualStudio.
  12. Get data from the QuickBuild application by accessing the PostedItems and Vision Tools
  13. Visualize the status of the HistogramTool by changing the color of its region.

Prerequisite

  1. Familiarity with Microsoft® Windows® environment.
  2. Having attended the VisionPro Standard or Designer Standard courses, or equivalent, consolidated working knowledge of Cognex vision tools.
  3. Familiarity with developing applications using Microsoft Visual Studio .Net
  4. Working knowledge of C# supported programming language.
  5. Students attending live online sessions will use TeamViewer to remotely control Cognex workstations in our training centers. Cognex will provide a valid business license for TeamViewer. Customers must ensure the software is allowed by their IT departments.
  6. Students attending the on-demand program (self-paced) will need a valid VisionPro license. If you don't have one, we recommend reaching out to your local Cognex sale representative.
