Overview
At the end of the class the user will understand the main hardware, software and accessories required to set up a vision application using EtherInspect, and will dive into the main rule-based and edge learning vision functions. Additional topics like EtherInspect templates (BeadInspect and TrayInspect), as well as C# scripting, communication tags, and hybrid cameras are also discussed.

Objectives
At the end of this class, students will be able to:
- Describe hardware and software required to set up an EtherInspect vision application.
- Utilize PatMax and fixturing in the EtherInspect environment.
- Set up the most frequently used rule-based vision tools: histogram, blobs, edge detection and 2D geometry.
- Perform a 2D non-linear calibration of the vision system using a checkerboard.
- Configure Cognex Edge Learning tools: Classify and Segment.
- Utlize the Cognex BeadInspect and TrayInspect templates.
- Describe how to use C# scripting to customize vision application in EtherInspect in multiple ways.
- Explain how to use Comminication Tags.
- Configure Hybrid cameras in the EtherInspect environment.

Prerequisite
- Familiarity with Microsoft® Windows® environment.
- Students attending live online sessions will use TeamViewer to remotely control Cognex workstations in our training centers. Cognex will provide a valid business license for TeamViewer. Customers must ensure the software is allowed by their IT departments.
- Students attending the on-demand program (self-paced) will need a valid VisionPro and EtherInspect license. If you don't have one, we recommend reaching out to your local Cognex sale representative.
