This course introduces the foundational concepts of image preparation, lighting, and optics in machine vision systems. Learners explore how cameras capture images, how software processes image data, and how lighting and optical components influence image quality and feature visibility. The course emphasizes the importance of producing clear, stable, and repeatable images for inspection applications and provides practical In-Sight into field of view, focus, image detail, and common image quality challenges. Learners also develop a basic understanding of troubleshooting techniques used to improve machine vision performance.
