Overview

The Cognex Designer interface features integrated VisionPro programming, C# scripting, flow diagram component placement and integrated HMI creation so can students can focus on solving their vision solution needs quickly and effectively. 

The duration of this course is 2 days.

Objectives

  1. Explore how to save data into a database, make queries and display data into a table.
  2. Explore the aspects of user control, set Inactivity Monitor, and configure Audit Trail.
  3. Learn about Alarms and configure variable change through Recipes.
  4. Explore the implementation of different scripts and understand how VisionPro deals with them.
  5. Explore different access methods to VisionPro tools, and test direct access to tools through the Designer HMI.
  6. Discover how Cognex Designer can be extended through the use of plugins.

Prerequisite

  1. Familiarity with Microsoft® Windows® environment.
  2. Working knowledge of C# programming language. C# programming help guide will be provided for certain topics during live classes.
  3. Students attending live online sessions will use TeamViewer to remotely control Cognex workstations in our training centers. Cognex will provide a valid business license for TeamViewer. Customers must ensure the software is allowed by their IT departments.

Engineers, Software Developers, Managers, as well as Control, Process, and Quality Engineers who need to be able to understand the connection, acquisition, inspection, and communication necessary to create a vision application using the Cognex Designer programming environment.
